Product Introduction

The AIFILTECH 4-Core Hoisting-Type Genset Exhaust Purifier is a compact dry unit for small and medium diesel generator sets, built around TPS water-washable metal filter elements (metal DPF, patent No. ZL 2018 1 0598975.7). Four elements in parallel, lifting lugs and a bypass butterfly-valve pipe on top allow hoisting above the genset or in-line installation. Particulate filtration efficiency exceeds 90%, regeneration takes one minute

Detailed Overview

01 Product Introduction

Guangzhou TUOKAI Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. was founded by professionals with over 20 years of experience in high-temperature flue gas treatment and diesel engine exhaust after-treatment, holds multiple independent intellectual property rights, and professionally supplies high-temperature flue gas (exhaust) treatment products and equipment for a wide range of applications.

The AIFILTECH 4-Core Hoisting-Type Genset Exhaust Purifier is a compact dry purification unit designed for small and medium diesel generator sets. Its core is a TPS water-washable regenerative metal filter element (metal DPF, patent No. ZL 2018 1 0598975.7). Four elements work in parallel; lifting lugs and a bypass butterfly-valve pipe on top allow the whole unit to be hoisted above the genset or in-line with the exhaust piping. Particulate filtration efficiency exceeds 90% and regeneration takes one minute of water washing. Nearly 5,000 units are in service nationwide.

The octagonal box housing is compact and structurally even, fitting retrofit projects where engine-room space is tight.

Site profile: small and medium gensets have compact engine rooms and varied exhaust routing, calling for a purifier with a small footprint, easy hoisting and simple maintenance.

02 Working Principle

Exhaust gas emitted by the diesel engine enters the AIFILTECH purifier at the inlet. The gas, laden with carbon particles, passes from the outside to the inside through the wall of each TPS filter element, where the particles are captured; the clean gas leaves through the outlet.

Several TPS elements are arranged in parallel. Hot exhaust enters the housing and passes through the outer surface of each element into its core; black smoke and carbon particles are blocked on the outer surfaces, and the cleaned gas is collected by the outlet manifold and discharged. The parallel layout raises flow capacity while lowering overall back pressure, so the high-flow exhaust of the genset is handled consistently.

As the engine runs, carbon particles accumulate on the element surfaces and system back pressure gradually rises. Once it reaches the set value, shut down the engine, release the clamps, pull out the elements and rinse them under a tap; refit and re-tighten the clamps and the unit is ready again. Initial back pressure is low and barely affects engine operation; when back pressure reaches the preset value (typically 25 kPa), an alarm can remind the operator to regenerate the elements.

03 Product Advantages

  • Particulate filtration efficiency over 90% with consistent emission compliance; measured light absorption coefficient below 0.5 m⁻¹ and Ringelmann smoke density below 1;
  • Easy maintenance: 1-minute water-washing regeneration, reusable without damage;
  • Easy installation: clamp-on design, 30-second quick disassembly and assembly;
  • No secondary pollutants;
  • Low comprehensive cost: simple retrofit and convenient maintenance;
  • Customised by engine displacement and installation space, covering non-road machinery, road machinery and marine engines;
  • Multiple TPS elements in parallel provide a large flow area and even flow distribution, lowering overall back pressure while maintaining efficiency;
  • The dry metal core relies on no fuel additives, urea or other consumables and produces no secondary pollutants, suiting sites where wet processes are impractical;
  • Both housing and elements are metal, with heat, thermal-shock and vibration resistance, so the unit survives transport, installation and daily use.

(Terminology: DPF stands for Diesel Particulate Filter; regeneration means cleaning the loaded filter element to restore its filtration capacity.)

04 Certifications & Application Cases

The product has passed tests by CMA, CAL, ILAC-MRA and CNAS accredited laboratories and obtained a qualified report, with a measured light absorption coefficient of less than 0.5 m⁻¹, meeting current emission standards.

Since the AIFILTECH water-washable regenerative metal purifier was successfully developed, this core product line has accumulated nearly 5,000 installed cases in the after-treatment industry. Our products took part in non-road vehicle retrofit programs in Nanjing as early as 2018, with nearly 1,000 successful cases in the Nanjing market alone and users across the country. The products have been applied in demanding non-road sites such as Beijing Capital International Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Xiamen Airport, Nanchang Airport and Nanning Airport, as well as ports, forklift fleets and construction machinery.

Applicable scenarios: all kinds of diesel-powered machinery. Batch application references are available in the above scenarios, with selection calculation, installation guidance and commissioning support.
