Ceramic fiber special shaped parts are vacuum-formed from ceramic fiber and inorganic binders, custom-made to drawings as curved tubes, cones, rings and drilled blocks for burner blocks, sight ports, furnace door seals and other hot spots.
Shaped parts are produced by vacuum forming: mixed ceramic fiber slurry is dewatered in custom molds, then dried and fired. The parts have accurate dimensions, a hardened surface and higher strength than blankets, with pre-formed holes and grooves for direct installation at complex locations and less on-site waste.
The parts retain a porous fiber skeleton with high porosity and low thermal conductivity, while a densified skin improves resistance to hot gas erosion and splash, keeping shape and insulation performance under direct high-velocity hot gas impingement.
Used for burner blocks, sight-port preforms, furnace door seals, aluminum launder insulation and exhaust heat shield linings. Tooling from drawings, sample confirmation and batch delivery are available.
