Metal filter elements use sintered metal felt, wire mesh or wedge wire media - strong and back-flushable - in ranges including large marine filter baskets, conical and pleated cartridges for marine, chemical, polymer and hot gas filtration.
Metal filter elements combine metal media (sintered felt, wire mesh or wedge wire) with stainless steel support tubes and end caps by welding or edging, withstanding high differential pressure and vibration without deformation or shedding. The range covers large marine filter baskets (over 500 mm diameter), conical temporary strainers, pleated large-area cartridges and stacked-disc elements, from coarse to micron-rated filtration.
Metal filter elements cover two process routes: powder sintering and sintered mesh/felt. Powder-sintered titanium elements offer 0.22-100 μm filtration ratings (standard grades 0.45/1/3/5/10/20/30/50/80/100 μm) with 28-50% porosity, low flow resistance and high permeation efficiency, while sintered mesh/felt elements use graded pore structures for high dirt-holding capacity and long service intervals. Materials include 316L, 310S, titanium and nickel for media from 280 C (wet titanium powder) up to 650 C; online backwashing regeneration is supported. Applications include marine ballast water, polyester melt, chemical liquids and precision gas filtration.
