Customisation Threaded / snap-fit, full range

Product Introduction

AIFILTECH metal breather vents use a sintered stainless steel element to equalise pressure differences while blocking water, dust and flame - protection up to IP67. Ideal for outdoor electrical cabinets, battery packs, gearboxes, luminaires and any sealed enclosure that needs pressure balancing.

Detailed Overview

01 Product Overview

The vent combines a sintered 316L stainless steel breathing element with a plastic or metal housing. When internal pressure rises or falls with temperature, air passes freely through the micro-pores to equalise; rain, oil mist and dust are stopped at the surface. In the event of an internal ignition, the sintered element also acts as a flame arrester - one part, two functions: breathing and explosion protection.

02 Working Principle

When the enclosure heats up, gas vents outward through the sintered pores; as it cools, air is drawn back in, keeping the pressure balanced so seals are not stressed. Water droplets cannot penetrate because of capillary forces at the pore surface, and any internal flame is quenched inside the tortuous channels.

03 Advantages

  • Sintered 316L element - stable pores, high air flow, low breathing resistance; 2. Waterproof and dust-tight up to IP67 for outdoor, high-humidity environments; 3. Built-in flame arrestion - breather valve and flame arrester in one; 4. Threaded or snap-fit mounting, full diameter range, customisation available; 5. Temperature and corrosion resistant for battery packs, outdoor cabinets and drivetrain housings.

04 Applications

Widely used on EV battery packs, outdoor telecom and electrical cabinets, construction machinery gearboxes, LED luminaires and sensor housings. Standard parts in stock plus build-to-print customisation.

Applications

阻火防爆 压力平衡 定制

All data above are obtained under specific test conditions; the actual solution must be engineered to site conditions. AIFILTECH provides custom design and sizing based on actual gas volume, temperature, dust characteristics and emission limits.
